HEAVENLY FIRE

September 26, 2009
Bible in One Year: Sunday, September 27, 2009 (Jer 6 - Jer 8) Memorise: "But the land, whither ye go to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and drinketh water of the rain of heaven" (Deut 11:11) Read: Acts 2:1-3 1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. Most blessings come to believers from above. Manna comes from Heaven. Help also locates us from Heaven. When we talk of help, we mean the additional assistance, strength, wisdom, finance, ability, courage that is needed to complete a task, or to accomplish an end which is beyond the reach of the one in need. Help is bridging the gap between where you are and where you ought to be. You need help if you must move beyond your present limits. This season, your helpers will locate you from Heaven. In addition, rain comes from above. "But the land, whither ye go to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and drinketh water of the rain of heaven" (Deut 11:11). Rain puts an end to dryness and causes fruitfulness. Have you been going through dryness? Have you been making efforts without any fruit? The rain from Heaven is coming upon you. Every dryness is disappearing now. You shall become fruitful once again. And if you have never borne fruits, your fruitful season has just started. Another thing that falls from Heaven is fire. This may manifest as literal fire or as an invisible but noticeable fire - the fire of the Holy Ghost. When this fire descended in 2 Kings 1:9-14, two army captains and 100 soldiers were burnt to ashes, and a third captain and his 50 soldiers were begging for their lives. The presence of this fire turns the oppressed into the oppressor. This fire will fall on Your enemies and roast them. This fire will fall afresh on you today and your oppressors will become the oppressed. When this fire fell in Acts 2:1-3, the spiritual batteries of the 120 disciples of Jesus were charged to the extent that each became a human candle - human beings with flames of fire physically resting on their heads! The story of the Early Church was never the same again! The fall of the Holy Spirit on the disciples gave birth to the book of Acts of the Apostles. Without this fire, there are no apostolic acts. If there are no supernatural acts in your life or ministry, it is doubtful if this fire has fallen on you. If you truly have this fire, a new chapter will be written about you in the Book of Acts of the Apostles. Ask for this fire from Heaven today! ACTION POINT: Father, let Holy Ghost fire fall afresh on Your church today.

Pastor

Enoch A Adeboye Fondly known as G.O or Daddy G.O, Pastor Adeboye became the General Overseer (G.O) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in 1981. Sheer curiosity and the search for a solution to a personal problem led Pastor Adeboye to worship at RCCG – Ebute-Metta in 1973. It was a most unlikely place of worship for a professor of Mathematics as the church had very few educated people and it lacked the comfort and grandeur of the Orthodox churches. His desire to reach the ends of the earth is captured in this statement, “I would love to have a breakthrough to such a height that I can lend to nations and preach on every television and radio station at least one hour per day.”
