(Josh 16 - Josh 18)
Memorise: "Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name" (Mal 3:16)
Read: Luke 22:14-20
14 And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him.
15 And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer:
16 For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.
17 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves:
18 For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.
19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
You can be remembered by God through consistent, fiery prayers and alms giving. Also, by sowing seeds of remembrance into the lives of fellow human beings. If you can look around you, you will find some people, even fellow church members who feel isolated. In the midst of the crowd, they are lonely. Or it could be that the leaders of the church are so preoccupied with activities that they neglect them. Identify and minister to widows, widowers, orphans, single parents, the disabled, those with terminal diseases, the jobless and the poor. As you remember them, Heaven will remember you and your container of joy will overflow.
Ecclesiastes 12:1 says its time to remember the Creator. Today, not tomorrow. If you want God to remember you, first remember Him as your creator and be ready to fulfil His plan for creating you. If you forget God, He will forget you. If a city or nation forgets God, He will forget them. Infact, Psalm 9:17 says God does not lose anything if the nation that forgets Him ends up in hell. Why are you postponing the day of your salvation? Are you promising to serve Him after your degree course, marriage or after acquiring wealth? What if you die before then? Remember God now! Similarly, in today's reading, the Lord asked us to remember Him by partaking regularly in the Holy Communion. If you choose to forget or be nonchalant to the Holy Communion, how can Heaven remember you? What you give to God is what you get in return, but in greater fold. He simply multiplies your gifts. If you forget Him in one area, do not be surprised if He forgets you in several areas. He is simply returning the harvest of your seed of forgetfulness. Can you afford to forget God, His Word or covenant? Each time you attend the Holy Communion, you sow seeds of remembrance and obedience and surely, one of these days, you will receive the harvest. Remembering Him in one significant area may cause Him to remember you in all areas. Search your life today and find out in which area you have been sowing seeds of forgetfulness. Uproot and counter them with seeds of remembrance. In addition, according to Malachi 3:16, if you desire divine remembrance, fear God, meditate on His Word and regularly fellowship with the brethren.
ACTION POINT:
Intercede for the salvation of your loved ones. You cannot afford to lose them eternally.

Fondly known as G.O or Daddy G.O, Pastor Adeboye became the General Overseer (G.O) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in 1981. Sheer curiosity and the search for a solution to a personal problem led Pastor Adeboye to worship at RCCG – Ebute-Metta in 1973. It was a most unlikely place of worship for a professor of Mathematics as the church had very few educated people and it lacked the comfort and grandeur of the Orthodox churches.
His desire to reach the ends of the earth is captured in this statement, “I would love to have a breakthrough to such a height that I can lend to nations and preach on every television and radio station at least one hour per day.”
