(Rev 16 - Rev 18)
Memorise: "Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar" (Ps 120:5)
Read: Psalm 120:1-7
1 A Song of degrees. In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me.
2 Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.
3 What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue?
4 Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.
5 Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!
6 My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace.
7 I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.
Like the blind man in the cursed town of Bethsaida in Mark 8:22-26, the reason some believers cannot be blessed or have answers to their prayers is because of their location. If your location is cursed, do not expect any true blessing there. Psalm 120:5 says, "Woe is me that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar". As long as this unnamed Psalmist lived in the house of one of the descendants of Ishmael, it was trouble every time. He observed series of losses and could not receive his expected blessings. Where you live has a way of determining whether you will be blessed or not and the quality of blessings that can come your way. Some houses and locations forbid blessings and progress. In fact, some of them have been covenanted to demons. Any believer who lives in such a cursed place may be prepared to begin a self-inflicted wilderness experience. This could have been prevented if the fellow was more discerning.
There are several tents of Kedar today in which a covenant has been made to strip all the blessings of whoever dwells there. As long as the fellow lives there, things will be difficult. It is either such an individual relocates, or triples his fasting and prayer (standing on relevant scriptural promises) to break the satanic siege over his or her domain. If not, like this blind man of Bethsaida and the Psalmist, the fellow will continue to sing a dirge. A brother rented a flat some years ago. It was a block of 4 flats. Three were let out while the fourth was alleged to have been reserved for the landlord's use. Unknown to them, the fourth apartment was the token of the covenant the landlord made with forces of darkness to affect the progress of his tenants, apart from burying different things underground. For three years, the flat was reserved but not used. A girlfriend of the landlord's brother who had accommodation challenges came to stay there without the knowledge of the landlord. One night, she had an encounter with strange beings- demons, in that apartment. She ran downstairs to meet the brother for prayers. The spirits were almost making her mad. That was the eye opener the brother needed. So he concentrated prayer efforts on that apartment for a period of time until the forces were dislodged. And they were free. Even the landlord got to know and was free at last to let out the flat. Find out if your tent is the cause of retrogression or stagnancy and if it is, deal with it prayerfully or relocate.
ACTION POINT:
Prayerfully find out whether your location is the hindrance to your progress and take appropriate steps now.

Fondly known as G.O or Daddy G.O, Pastor Adeboye became the General Overseer (G.O) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in 1981. Sheer curiosity and the search for a solution to a personal problem led Pastor Adeboye to worship at RCCG – Ebute-Metta in 1973. It was a most unlikely place of worship for a professor of Mathematics as the church had very few educated people and it lacked the comfort and grandeur of the Orthodox churches.
His desire to reach the ends of the earth is captured in this statement, “I would love to have a breakthrough to such a height that I can lend to nations and preach on every television and radio station at least one hour per day.”
