Bible in One Year: Sunday, November 1, 2009 (Ex 28 - Ex 31) Memorise: "For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe" (Heb 5:13) Read: Hebrews 5:11-14 11 Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. 12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. 13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. Jesus Christ asked Peter to feed His lambs (young converts) and sheep (Jn 21:15-17). For the former, they were to be fed once while He repeated that of the sheep (adult believers). Why? God does not want you to continue to be a child. He does not expect you to peg your spiritual knowledge, growth and exploits in His Kingdom but to continue to grow. Are you still drinking milk instead of chewing meat or bones? You make God very unhappy. Everything responsible for spiritual stagnation in your life shall be destroyed today in Jesus' Name. You are hereby released by the power of the anointing into another level of spiritual growth! Another lesson from 1 Samuel 16:6-13 is that Heaven's choice for the top must be a diligent fellow (Prov 22:29). David was busy looking after the sheep in the bush while his brothers were idle at home. It does not matter the title you are called by, if you are not busy for the Lord, you are bearing an empty title. Hebrews 11:6 says God rewards only the diligent seeker. When you meet with a diligent seeker, you will know. That seeker's focus will be undivided and he or she would channel all resources towards what is being sought. Are you a diligent seeker? Are you a diligent servant of the Most High God? David was not bothered that his elder brothers abandoned the work of caring for the sheep to him alone. He knew pay day would come. Are you getting discouraged because it is like you have been left alone to do all the work in your department, while others gallivant and turn into busy bodies? Do not be discouraged. Pay day is coming. Some people want to be pastors when they have never won a single soul. Do you want to pastor the sheep of other people? A good shepherd looks after the sheep he has brought forth into the fold. Can you believe that some pastors do not have a single convert in the church they are pastoring? That is a shame! Whatever your level of pastoring, you cannot outgrow evangelism! Go and win souls - a minimum of one a month that would grow along with the members of your church. Heaven will not accept your excuse of being burdened with administrative aspects of ministry or other ministerial assignments. A pastor without personal converts in his church is a hireling! ACTION POINT: Any believer without converts provokes vomiting while a die-hard evangelist provokes joy both in Heaven and earth. What do you provoke?
