| Memorize: Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me. Isaiah 6:8 Read: Isaiah 6:8-10 Knowing that two persons cannot walk together except they be agreed (Amos 3:3), it becomes imperative to know that God as a partner, speaks and to hear Him when He speaks. If you cannot hear Him when he speaks, you will not know when He is calling you, or when He wants to send you on an errand or even what His heart is focused on. It takes people hearing Him to repent or obey Him. It takes you hearing Him to conform to His expectations. When last did you hear His voice? Many are sick in one area or the other. Some are sick physically, mentally, spiritually or emotionally. There are those who will not commit adultery but while on their beds alone, they entertain such evil thoughts. You need to hear Him so that you can live the triumphant life. Moreover, it is when you hear Him that He can use you. Isaiah heard God saying: “Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?” He offered to go on that assignment because he heard God's voice. Today, God is still speaking and looking for those He can use for special assignments but because, many are not sensitive enough, such assignments pass them by. May divine assignments not pass you by in Jesus name. In Amos 3:1, God spoke against Israel. This connotes that being God's child does not mean that God cannot speak against you. If you do wrong, the Lord will speak against you so that you can realize your mistake and repent. The Lord also told Israel that because they have a relationship with Him, He was going to punish them for their short comings (Amos 3:2). This is not strange. It is those God loves He chastises (Hebrews 12:6). The closer you are to God the tougher He will be with you. This is why you must flee from everything God hates if you have a relationship with Him. Are you hearing Him today? PRAYER POINT: Father, whatever is stopping me from hearing from you, take it away and make me hear you clearly. |
