TRUSTWORTHINESS Friday, March 16, 2012 |
|
Memorize: And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it. Genesis 39:22
Read: Genesis 39:21-23
The presence of God attracts favor to your life. This it does in addition to moving you up and positively affecting every area of your life. To fulfill your destiny on earth, you need to have favor before God, men and even your enemies. From the Holy Scriptures, we observe that anyone who pleased God enjoyed favor. In your place of work, you need favor. If you enjoy the favor of your superiors, promotion and other benefits will easily come to you.
Even though Joseph met other servants in Potiphar's house, because he was favored, they soon became his subordinates. This year, the favor of God will single you out for promotion, increase, enlargement and greater opportunities. The favor of God will place you above your fellows. Asides from favor, you should understand from today's Bible reading that if God is with you, men will entrust you with critical assignments and even their own lives.
One factor that distinguishes you from the crowd is trustworthiness. Can you be trusted? To what extent can people trust you? If you are not trustworthy, it shows to a large extent that you do not carry God's presence. Do you know that there are some pastors whose members cannot confide in, while they feel more at ease with external pastors and even with those below the strata of ministers?
Do you know that some men cannot entrust their wives to the hands of certain leaders? Some people cannot be trusted to keep the collections of a group; if given, they will end up spending the money and return with stories.
The truth is, if you score low on the scale of trustworthiness, you will find it difficult to attract choice appointments and opportunities. The world is looking for those who can be trusted. This quality is needed in every facet of life. Any home that lacks trust may soon have the unpleasant experience of a divorce.
Any officer who lacks trust may soon be shown the way out. If you want to increase your trust worthiness, seek to be a carrier of His presence. Can your boss leave everything in your organization in your care without regrets?
KEY POINT: If you are a carrier of God's presence, people will trust you as much as they trust in God. |

Read: Matthew 8:18-23
After the Lord Jesus Christ instructed the multitude that they should go to the other side, only the disciples obeyed. The rest of the people went their way. A particular learned man met Him and offered to follow Jesus wherever He went.

GOD TO PHARAOH Wednesday, March 14, 2012 |
|
Memorize: And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet. Exodus 7:1
Read: Exodus 7:1-2
God's plan for us is that we operate as gods on the earth. Our Lord Jesus Christ attested to this in John 10:34: Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? Why then do we not see a manifestation of this in the life of many believers? What accounts for this disconnect is the ... |

Part of the characteristics of a living thing is reproduction and growth. A Christian reproduces by winning souls and ought to grow in fellowship with and service to the Lord. This is what it means to bear fruit. The Lord is not happy with any part of His body that bears no frui... |

Memorize: ... but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word. Isaiah 66:2b
Read: Amos 3:1-3
One clear fact from scriptures is that God speaks. Psalm 62:11 says: God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God. There is power in every word of God. It is therefore very important that you hear what God is saying to the church (Revelation 2:7). When the Lord speaks, it is som... |

Memorize: He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch. Proverbs 11:28
Read: Proverbs 11:27-29
Wealth is good but to God, there is nothing good in the wealth of a sinner. In fact, wealth obtained through the machinery of sin is an abomination to Him. The sinner's wisdom cannot save him because rather than sincerely look up to God, he depends on himself and gives himself credit for all his achievements.

God's call is unto rest and peace. When He called on erstwhile blind Bartimaeus, it was obvious that certain good things were about to follow. First, after that call, Bartimaeus threw away his garment of sorrow. Then, He asked him what he wanted. As soon as he mentioned his need for healing, h... |
