| MEMORIZE: “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Gal. 3:28). READ: Galatians 3:26-29 Apart from using the challenged, children and the aged, God does not follow any particular order in choosing who to use in families. He may choose to either use the firstborn or the last born. Samuel was the firstborn of Hannah. Our Lord Jesus Christ was the firstborn of the family of Joseph. Both were mightily used of God. One way to secure the future of your firstborn is to ensure he or she knows Christ and is actively engaged in serving Him. God has special interest in firstborns: so also has Satan. Any firstborn that is not engaged in glorifying God will definitely be occupied by the devil. Are you a firstborn? Are you serving the Lord with all your heart? Firstborns apart, God can use last borns. David was the last-born of the Jesse family yet, he was singled out to become king. Being a last born does not necessarily mean you will come last in accomplishments, particularly in the things of God. There are many last borns that have become first. If you are the youngest but can key in to the Lord, you can attain any height of greatness, be it in secular or spiritual matters. Are you a last born? Rise up! It is time to get connected with your Savior. Give your life to Him today and serve Him with all your heart. In addition, God can use those who are neither firstborns nor last borns in the family. This category covers the bulk of people. Joseph was not a firstborn or last born, yet God elevated him to the position of Prime Minister in a foreign land—Egypt. Are you 'middle'-born? God will use you in Jesus name. Similarly, God can use both the male and female gender. He does not discriminate on the basis of gender. “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus” (Gal. 3:28). To this end, God used Elijah, Elisha, Peter, James, and John. He also used Deborah, Elizabeth, Mary, and Esther. Sometimes, however, when there are certain vacancies that can best be occupied by men but no man qualifies, God may choose a woman. God uses the poor, the rich and the average. Into what category do you fall? The Lord wants to use you. Are you yielding to His Spirit today? ACTION POINT: In Heaven's rating, the position of your birth is not as important as your achievement for God. Strive to achieve |
