(Rev 1 - Rev 3)
Memorise: "And the LORD spake unto Moses, Go unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Let my people go, that they may serve me" (Ex 8:1)
Read: Isaiah 49:24-26
24 Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?
25 But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.
26 And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
"And the LORD spake unto Moses, Go unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Let my people go, that they may serve me" (Ex 8:1). Whenever God speaks, it could be an advice, appeal or command. After placing life and death before the people, He said choose life so that you and your children may live (Deut 30:19). That is an advice. When He said 'Come let us reason together' in Isaiah 1:18, that is an appeal. But when He said, 'Let there be light' in Genesis 1:3, that was a command. When He commands, it is done. Psalm 33:8- 9 says the whole earth should fear before God, Why? It is because when He commands a thing, it is done. At His command, prison doors open on their own. If they failed to heed, the power behind the command would break them open. When He commands, nobody can stop Him. Sometimes I have heard some people say they withstood God for a while. May be He was advising or appealing to you. You cannot withstand God. You cannot even withstand an earthly judge. If the judge sentences an individual to 10 years imprisonment, that is what the fellow will be given. When God commands a judge to die, he can even die on his judgement seat. When the Consuming Fire commands, He must be obeyed.
According to Isaiah 49:24-26, if God commands your captor to let you go, but the captor wants to prove that because you are a lawful captive you cannot go, God says He will make the captor to feed on his own flesh until he is full, and to drink his own blood and it will taste like wine to him. Who is that captor or oppressor that has held you bound for so long? The Almighty God is commanding now: "Let my people go!" Every force holding or tying you down shall release you by force because your Maker is saying, "Let my people go!" When He commands, sicknesses will surrender not minding how long they have been there (Jn 5:2-9). When He commands, death must give way for life - because the One who is called the Resurrection and Life has commanded. At the tomb of Lazarus, He said, 'Lazarus, come forth' (Jn 11:39-45). He did not advice or appeal to death because death cannot withstand Him. Today, He commands failure, disappointment, sickness and poverty to let you go now. Thank God for causing every good divine command to work for you.
ACTION POINT:
Command everything that has taken you hostage to let you go in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Fondly known as G.O or Daddy G.O, Pastor Adeboye became the General Overseer (G.O) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in 1981. Sheer curiosity and the search for a solution to a personal problem led Pastor Adeboye to worship at RCCG – Ebute-Metta in 1973. It was a most unlikely place of worship for a professor of Mathematics as the church had very few educated people and it lacked the comfort and grandeur of the Orthodox churches.
His desire to reach the ends of the earth is captured in this statement, “I would love to have a breakthrough to such a height that I can lend to nations and preach on every television and radio station at least one hour per day.”
