(Dan 1 - Dan 3)
Memorise: "Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man" (Ps 108:12)
Read: Psalm 125:1-2
1 A Song of degrees. They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.
2 As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.
While a mountain is an obstacle to many, to a few, it is a stepping stone to their next level. How you see a mountain and what you call it can affect the final outcome of that mountain - whether it will change or maintain status quo. A mountain could also be God's way of revealing your need for divine support. When everything goes on smoothly, you may not think of God. For instance, in most developed societies where basic necessities of life - food, clothing and shelter have been generally provided, most of their youths find it difficult to acknowledge God. What do they need God for when all their basic needs have been provided? They fail to see the need of their souls and therefore starve spiritually. But for those in Africa and some less-developed countries, where they still lack basic social amenities, they easily turn to God when they meet with mountains. Until you face a mountain, you would not realize how mighty your God is. Psalm 125:1-2 says when you trust in the Lord, you will amass the strength and form of a mountain to deal with any mountain that confronts you.
Similarly, a mountain could be a miracle hidden in a problem wrapper. Many times when God wants to give you a big testimony, He allows a large-sized problem. When you focus on the wrapper, you miss the real content underneath. In 2 Chronicles 20:1-20 when God was about to take king Jehoshaphat to the next level, he sent three rich and powerful kings against him. What he thought would stop him eventually became his greatest, sweetest and easiest victory. That problem you think is so great that you believe it would sink you has come to deliver your greatest victory. Stop looking at the wrapper: there is something better underneath! When God wants to expand your coast, He allows a mountain to block your way, to compel you to acquire the dynamite required to break the mountain in pieces. And from that experience, you would have been groomed on how to handle subsequent mountains that come your way. Several miracles are camouflaged as problems. Ask God to open your eyes to see the hidden content of every problem. Look at the mountain staring at you presently and ask the Holy Spirit to help you uncover the benefits it will deliver to you. Thank Him in advance for receipt of such benefits.
ACTION POINT:
Father, remove the veil over my eyes and let me see the miracle each challenge that comes my way can deliver to me.

Fondly known as G.O or Daddy G.O, Pastor Adeboye became the General Overseer (G.O) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in 1981. Sheer curiosity and the search for a solution to a personal problem led Pastor Adeboye to worship at RCCG – Ebute-Metta in 1973. It was a most unlikely place of worship for a professor of Mathematics as the church had very few educated people and it lacked the comfort and grandeur of the Orthodox churches.
His desire to reach the ends of the earth is captured in this statement, “I would love to have a breakthrough to such a height that I can lend to nations and preach on every television and radio station at least one hour per day.”
