(Is 61 - Is 63)
Memorise: "Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm" (Ps 105:15)
Read: Psalm 23:4-6
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
Do you want Heaven to consider you for higher anointing? Then you must be ready to work behind the scene. There are some brethren who prefer to sing solo so that they may be separated from the 'crowd' of singers. To make it in any given assignment, you must have a powerful private prayer ministry. David was anointed to be the next king but according to Psalm 23:5, he knew it wasn't Samuel that anointed him. The latter was only an instrument - the hand that poured the oil. If God is not the One anointing you, then the oil will just be ordinary and will not be backed up with power. A man wanted to bring his child to our school at the camp and I told him the school is for sons of missionaries, pastors, etc. I asked him, 'Are you a pastor?' He answered, 'Not yet'. He returned home, bought a bottle of olive oil, gathered his family together and said: "Today, I hereby anoint myself as pastor". He came back to me and told me that he was now a pastor. It does not work like that or else, nobody would need somebody else to anoint the fellow. The one God really ordains is not just empowered but also different. That is why God can afford to rebuke kings for their sakes (Ps 105:14- 15). But concerning the one in whose ordination God has no hand, anything can happen to the fellow. God will only defend His oil on the one He has approved.
David went into the bush with the sheep. It was an ordinary day like every other day. But on this day, an unusual sun rose for David and located him right in the jungle. When your sun rises, it will locate you wherever you may be. In Exodus 3:1-12, Moses' sun located him at the backside of the desert. When your sun rises, it will bring you out of obscurity into limelight. David was an unknown shepherd boy until the day his sun rose. When it rose, the shepherd boy suddenly became king. Whatever menial job or assignment you are doing cannot stop the change that will take place when your sun rises. This season, your sun will rise and deliver to you the good thing it has conceived. Do not be bothered by how menial your assignment is. When your day comes, nobody can stop your sun from rising. Your day is coming. Your sun is rising this period and your history is about to change for good. Go ahead and worship God.
ACTION POINT:
Paying tithes or offering in dirty, torn and worn notes amounts to offering abuse. Leviticus 27:30 says tithe is holy to God.

Fondly known as G.O or Daddy G.O, Pastor Adeboye became the General Overseer (G.O) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in 1981. Sheer curiosity and the search for a solution to a personal problem led Pastor Adeboye to worship at RCCG – Ebute-Metta in 1973. It was a most unlikely place of worship for a professor of Mathematics as the church had very few educated people and it lacked the comfort and grandeur of the Orthodox churches.
His desire to reach the ends of the earth is captured in this statement, “I would love to have a breakthrough to such a height that I can lend to nations and preach on every television and radio station at least one hour per day.”
