(Judg 13 - Judg 15)
Memorise: "But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also" (Matt 5:39)
Read: Matthew 5:38-41
38 ¶ Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also.
41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
If you want to experience the latter house glory, you must be quick to notice what's wrong with your life and do something to correct it. The grace called latter house is far more superior in glory than the law which is called the former house. Grace is more difficult than the law even though many Christians think otherwise. For instance, during the law, although it is commanded that you shall not commit adultery, as long as you are not caught, you remain free. That means, some people can become experts at committing the sin without being caught. They will call themselves smart. But the day they are caught, they will be stoned to death. However, the provisions of grace according to Matthew 5:27-28 say that you do not need to sleep with your sin partner to commit the sin. No earthly witnesses are required because Heaven is watching closely. Grace says if you think of it at all, you are guilty in Heaven's court. No earthly court will convict an accused without physical evidence. But grace says the evidence of lust in your heart is sufficient.
Apart from this, the latter house grace is superior because it is purer than the former-the law. Let us consider Elisha. He was powerful and fiery. When little children mocked at him, he cursed them and they were torn in pieces by some she-bears. He was a no-nonsense person. When he saw all the angels surrounding the army that besieged him, instead of asking for their extinction, he requested that food be given them. Love, forgiveness are far superior to anger and vengeance. Many years ago, when I was a young lecturer at the University of Lagos, I went to meet a particular senior staff of the school. I was already full of the Holy Spirit. I asked for what I was entitled to which was in his custody. He saw me in his office waiting for several hours but left me there. He returned very late. Today, he is not only a Christian but also has a house at the Redemption Camp. The superior grace in me enabled me to forgive his wrong and relate well with him. What kind of life are you living? Are you living in anger, bitterness and resentment? That is far inferior to the grace of love, forgiveness and humility that Jesus has brought. Dump the law and grab and live by the Grace of Jesus Christ today. That makes you truly superior!
ACTION POINT:
Possessing and manifesting the fruit of the Spirit makes you truly superior.

Fondly known as G.O or Daddy G.O, Pastor Adeboye became the General Overseer (G.O) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in 1981. Sheer curiosity and the search for a solution to a personal problem led Pastor Adeboye to worship at RCCG – Ebute-Metta in 1973. It was a most unlikely place of worship for a professor of Mathematics as the church had very few educated people and it lacked the comfort and grandeur of the Orthodox churches.
His desire to reach the ends of the earth is captured in this statement, “I would love to have a breakthrough to such a height that I can lend to nations and preach on every television and radio station at least one hour per day.”
