Bible in One Year: Monday, December 28, 2009 (Is 37 - Is 39) Memorise: "God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear Him" (Ps 67:7) Read: Psalm 67:5-7 5 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. 6 Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us. 7 God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him. "God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear Him" (Ps 67:7). Psalm 67:5-7 tells us that there are categories of blessings. To receive the blessing that would cause those around you to be afraid, you and your family must praise God with all your heart regularly. In the same way, there are categories of breakthroughs. In Genesis 18:9-14, Abraham had a breakthrough but it was a delayed breakthrough because it came after 25 years of waiting. In Genesis 41:38-44, Joseph equally had a breakthrough. This was also a delayed breakthrough because God had told him long ago of that breakthrough. Another person who had a delayed breakthrough was Moses (Ex 3:1-15). At the age of 40, he had already known that he was God's deliverer to liberate the enslaved Israeli nation. But he had to wait another 40 years for it to manifest. The breakthroughs of some believers have been pending. They have waited for 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 or more years for it. And they are still waiting. Are you waiting for God to manifest His beautiful promises in your life, family or ministry? Are you already giving up hope of the fulfillment of those promises? Do not give up! God does not forget His promises. He has not forgotten you. He will bring His promises and covenant to pass in your life. Hold fast to Him. He cannot fail you. Just rest in Him. It is very safe to do so. In the Name of Jesus, I command every delay in your breakthrough to be removed and your expectation to materialize. Some breakthroughs may be delayed for several reasons. It could be out of impatience or refusal to wait on God's timing like Moses. If Moses had not killed the Egyptian, he could have remained in Egypt. If this had happened, he might not have waited that long to receive his breakthrough. Also, he would have had to take a different path in leading the Israelites out. We complicate God's plan by thoughtless, fleshly actions. Breakthroughs may be delayed out of non-readiness to receive it. Are you prepared for what you are asking? Delay could also be as a result of a trial of faith. God may want to try your faith so that by the time He gives you the blessing, the enemies will not be able to steal it. Sometimes the delay is as a result of not knowing or learning what is expected of you. Until you acquire such lessons, the breakthrough will be delayed. It could also be because of sin, unbelief, doubt, etc. Deal with every hindrance today! ACTION POINT: Lord, in any way my breakthrough is delayed because of my shortcomings, in your mercy release it. But if delayed by Heaven for my good, have your way.
