Memorise: "Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices" (2 Cor 2:11)
Read: 2 Kings 6:8-12
Satan is full of wiles - very clever ideas to get people to do his bidding. Ezekiel 28:11-12 says he was full of wisdom before his fall. I once told some brethren in Abuja that they can call the devil names, such as thief, liar, murderer, etc. but should never call him a fool. He is full of corrupted wisdom. The presence of satanic wiles means that his attacks may not come from the direction you expect. In fact, most times, his attacks come from areas and people you least expect. David confronted Goliath at the battlefield, knocked him down, chased and killed many of their enemies. He returned as a national hero, carrying the sword of Goliath. But the moment Goliath was defeated, Satan relocated from the battlefield to David's house. In 1 Samuel 18:5-9, Satan organized an emergency choir with the Israeli women and commissioned them to sing a new song - how king Saul killed thousands and young David ten thousands, just to provoke the king to jealousy and turn him against David. He succeeded in this plan. King Saul was annoyed that David was given more prominence and that was the day David lost his peace. If the attack of the enemy comes from the direction you expect, it would be easy to deal with it. In Judges 16:4-5, Satan came through Delilah to Samson and asked him to tell the secret of his power. As plain as her request was, Samson thought it was a joke - maybe a new form of love play!
When the devil wants to attack a strong man of God, he will not come directly. He will secretly go under the fellow's tank and punch a tiny hole from where the fuel (anointing) will be leaking out one drop at a time. Nobody will notice it. The fellow will not pay attention until one day he will say 'In the mighty Name of Jesus' and discover that the tank is empty! This is why you need the whole armor of God. It is not easy to dodge a stone that is hurled at the back of your head, hence the elders say: No one is as wise as the person who lays ambush for you. It takes God to deliver you out of the enemy's ambush. According to 2 Kings 6:8-12, but for the Holy Spirit, the king of Israel would have been taken in his enemy's ambush. In any way the enemy is planning to attack you, the Lord will frustrate the fellow in Jesus' Name. On your part, be prayerful, be properly kitted with the Heavenly armor. Every indirect attack of the devil against your family, business or ministry shall be frustrated today in Jesus' Name.
ACTION POINT:
Father, frustrate every indirect attack against me today. Protect my family and those you have put under my care.

Fondly known as G.O or Daddy G.O, Pastor Adeboye became the General Overseer (G.O) of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in 1981. Sheer curiosity and the search for a solution to a personal problem led Pastor Adeboye to worship at RCCG – Ebute-Metta in 1973. It was a most unlikely place of worship for a professor of Mathematics as the church had very few educated people and it lacked the comfort and grandeur of the Orthodox churches.
His desire to reach the ends of the earth is captured in this statement, “I would love to have a breakthrough to such a height that I can lend to nations and preach on every television and radio station at least one hour per day.”
